My Ethics Code
Core Values
This ethics code was made upon completion of my media ethics class senior year. This code is what I strive to live by everyday as well as what I see the world through. Having good ethics is a stepping stone in the greater good that I hope to have in this world.
Loyalty
Having faithfulness in myself and those in my life who have impacted me and led me through my career. Connections and relationships with people are of a great importance to me and my professional career.
Honesty
By having a commitment to honesty in my personal and professional life I can keep my moral principles high and have a very open high level of communication with friends, family, and coworkers.
Empathy
Empathy is the ability to relate and feel one's feelings and struggles without having personally gone through them yourself. Throughout my life I have been surrounded by people of different backgrounds, faiths, and experiences. Through this I have continued to learn about others experiences and emotions.
Respect
I grew up in a house built upon respect. Every person deserves respect and should reciprocate the same respect back. As people it's easy to get caught up in judgement and biased impressions, but it is important to give all people respect, to earn their respect back.
Grace
Having grace in my life is very important to my growth and learning. When grace is received and given hard work is easier to do and the work becomes more gratifying once finished.
Inclusion
Diversity and inclusion has always been something of importance to me. I think that every workplace should be inclusive to all employees with different backgrounds and experience. To work well as a team everyone must be feel fulfilled and respected.
